Hello, world.

02 Jan 2026

Hello, and welcome to my blog! In 2026, I’ve decided to spend more time culvating my own corner of the web and connecting with the larger indieweb movement. This starts with my blog, which has gone from a bland one-page thing that served partially as my resume and commission portfolio. As a person who spends a lot of time maintaining and designing websites, it is ironic that my homepage was so soulless.

So here we are! My domain shib.live will redirect to my Neocities domain as I’d like to support this project visibly (would you know Neocities is a thing if you didn’t see the domain name?). I’ll probably be writing about my personal experience with technology and share snippets of tech that I’ve found useful enough to write down somewhere.

As a project dedicated specifically for this blog I’d also like to work on some demonstrations of designing pages for certain vintage or intentionally constrained browsers. I’ll be starting with exploring the weird world of the internet on the Sega Dreamcast and the cool features that were uniquely supported on browsers for the console. Look forward to it!

Other content that will ship with this blog post are the About page and homepage with the blogroll. Subscribe to my RSS feed if you like! I’d like to actually write about using RSS in the big 2026 (and beyond) soon as well.
